ABOUT ME
My name is Özlem Bereketligil. I was born on 11/12/1992. I am a Cypriot and this makes me feel happy because Cypriot people are very tender and cheerful. I am a currently at Middle East Technical University studying English Teaching as a Foreign Language (EFL) because I want to be an English teacher and this university is so good for this. My home is in Akdeniz and I have lived here since my childhood (21 years). My favorite activities are, swimming, travelling to some new places, reading psychology novels in Turkish, and going to the cinema. I like to go to the cinema because I like watching film especially drama and romantic films as they are more realistic and as they sometimes refer to our lives. I like reading psychological novels because there are interesting and fascinating. My favorite meal involves barbecue, macaroni and chips, and my favorite snack food is chocolate. The people who support me the most my parents and in my life they have helped me to grow up and study. They always supply me both financial and spiritual support. I would like to be like my current teacher whose name is Steve Neufeld because he is very cleaver and perfect man; he is very good at everything such as technology and education. I think he likes to invest new things and he likes to read and search etc. I like to invest new things too, but I am a bit lazy. I hope, I will be a good teacher like him, someday.

MY PAST
When I was a little I remember my first school date. I was very good. While most children was crying as they wanted their mother, I was happy to be school because there were a lot of children, so I would have a lot of friend. I always found school to be fun because my all teacher were cheerful and helpful (they always made lesson fun) and my all friends were crazy. The worst teacher I ever had was my primary school teacher because she wasn’t well educated and whenever I asked question to her, she didn’t know or she didn’t answer and that made me realize that a teacher should be well educated. The best thing my cousin has ever said to me is ‘you should believe your dream and yourself because you can achieve whatever you want if you want. Look at me, I wanted and I achieved ‘. It was the best thing because her these words helped me to believe myself and choose a way (goal). I proud that I determined a way (goal) and I am going to through it.

I am interested in something related with my department which is psychology. It is important for me to realize children feelings and act according to them. I don’t want to act wrong and make my students feel bad. They may also hate from education. To conclude, my destiny is as I wrote. I hope that everything will be nice .

I worried about my career because every year lots of people graduate from EFL department, so It looks a bit difficult to find a job being an English teacher. However, I confident that I will find a job easily after I graduate because I will do everything for that.
